Seaside

Usually photographers divide their work into portraits, nature, ... But I looked at my photos and what stood out to me is that the best ones usually are shot at the seaside or in the mountains. Apparently where I am the happiest. I grew up windsurfing, I always had a special connection to water, but never lived close enough to it to be able to say it is truly special. I am not afraid of water, I am happy around it and that's why I always like my images of coastlines, waves and beaches the most. If you want a print of one, just hit me up via the contact form.

Mountains

Mountains just give you these special scenes, that it is almost easy to shoot cool photos. Beautiful landscapes, clouds, sunsets & rises. In opposition to the seaside I grew up hating hiking and discovered it only later as a nice thing. I still have my moments if you still have 10k to go but your feet already hurt and your backpack is again heavier because of course you carry your camera with you, but in the end it is always worth it. Moving, the sport that comes with it, the fresh air and the good pictures. If you want a print of one, just hit me up via the contact form.

People say that as an artist you need to find your creative voice. I really don't know what mine is. I don't even know if I am an artist. So I can only tell you, that I shoot pictures that touch me in a way and are not shot at the seaside or in mountains. Very unromantic. But I still do not want to hide them from you. I wanted a place to showcase and collect all my passions. Then I mixed it up with some CV like components and out came this portfolio page. In the future I want to share blog articles and link the corresponding TikToks. If nobody cares, I at least learned new technologies again with this project.

I love sending video messages to friends but neither WhatsApp, shared galleries, snapchat, BeReal, nor TikTok are really suitable for that. So why not develop an app that allwos us all to stay closer connected by swiping through real friends short form content instead of random cat videos.

Something analog, but still digital. You need to swap SD cards with your friends to get different card decks onto your computer. You can carry it everywhere you want and you will surely spark a smile on your friend's face. To all the kids in us.

I am far from being a great cinematographer. Far from a good colourist. Far from a good storyteller. But I discovered filming as a new hobby of mine. Maybe as the unavoidable next step of photography. And I share some of my work on YouTube, because honestly it is a good place to store your videos to watch the memories back a few years later. And sharing your work as an artist is an essential part, so in a way I practice this with YouTube.

TikTok

I gave up on a social media career. I think becoming a social media star (or at least being able to life off of it) is as probable as becoming a football star. I actually tried. Uploading 30 days straight, climbing cringe mountain and succeeding, but my videos never did. I might have to find another way to make people aware of my work. Still I share videos on TikTok, just because I have them anyways. But the most important thing that is driving me is learning story telling. A very impressive and hard to learn skill as I find. How do Authors write so compelling stories, how are all those YouTubers out there creating those nice short films? You find my journey on my TikTok.
