Back home
And trying to get back into the rhythm. It is funny to see how a different places changes what you do and how you do it that much. I did not write blog articles in Lucca, because I did not felt as if I needed it. I spent more time with people instead. I did not record any videos of me working, but a lot more leisure time videos and took the camera with me way often. I still coded. So that did not change. Now let’s merge the blog articles together of the last weeks and upload them. I have no camera right now so I can’t film myself working, but that will come again once I have the Nikon ZR. With this camera I want to start a challenge for myself to film one cinematic shot every day. For that I have to take it with me everyday also in my daily life, which I always did in Lucca but never at home. Looking forward to it.
In regards to coding, I will now set up my linux server again. I mean it is set up, but Claude lost connection to Github because we changed repo spaces. And I still have some videos to cut before the new cam arrives so I can start off on a blank sheet.
Innsbruck Trail K25
On the weekend I was in an AirBnB with friends full on busy preparing and running at the Innsbruck trailrun festival. I acutally coded a little in the morning of Friday. Giving our dev app another bundle id so that I can keep the real LifeUpdate installed if I install a development build on my phone. That’s cool and was needed so I can test the camera switch. That is not possible on the iOS simulator. Now it is Sunday and just to not let off will now post the blog articles over lucca.
Reading through the blog articles really makes me proud. I have to continue on that!
Monday
Cut another TikTok from Lucca on Sunday evening and now on Monday Morning another one. By Wednesday I will have cut and uploaded 4 videos:
That is actually a pretty crazy amount of videos and I like the stile. It makes me want the new nikon ZR camera I already ordered even more and the money I spent on it feel well spend. The setup will be crazy and I am really contemplating if to go for a one cinematic shot each day challenge to upload on TikTok. Let’s see if others are doing the same. I cannot really find people that are uploading one cinematic shot each day and document their life in that way.
On a train ride Friday evening I watched a lot of videos about filmmaking. There is so much to learn and it is somehow funny to relive the learning curve for photography again now with videography.
Weekend
The weekend at my girlfriends family is super chill. I get to implement two important features into LifeUpdate. First one being the camera switch that was basically requested in every second video sent on LifeUpdate. The second one being that if you comment on a LifeUpdate that was shared to multiple groups your comment can only be seen in the groups you are in as well. And after shipping these two bigger features it was really fun to implement other smaller stuff again with faster feedback loops.
